I'm fundraising in memory of my Dad, Andrew Wain.

Dad and I were very similar with a love of Africa, walking, maps, cricket and laughing! I grew up looking at my parents' beautiful oil painting of Mount Kilimanjaro - a classic scene with elephants grazing in the foreground - and during my childhood growing up in Kenya, I made it an ambition to climb the mountain one day.

I've also been looking for an opportunity to raise money for some charities - to 'give something back'.

...And so I've helped to gather a team of 15 friends to climb Mount Kilimanjaro via the 6-day Rongai Route in October 2014.
