My first and, to date, only time trekking up a mountain was a weekend "stroll" up Mt. Fuji (3,776m) in October 1987 - an experience and memories which remain vivid still today! I am now grabbing the opportunity to challenge myself once again to much more dizzying heights. The photo I have chosen was taken in June, just after I had rappelled off the roof of the building where I work – another challenge for me as I am highly uncomfortable with structural heights – but as you can see from the smile, I made it unscathed and exhilarated. My dream is that the Mt. Kilimanjaro Challenge will be as invigorating and successful as those I have experienced to date.

When this opportunity was shared with me I could not resist the challenge, knowing that, like Mt. Fuji, I would share and cherish the memories and experiences for years to come.
